At the start of October, IVALTECH mobilized for #PinkOctober to raise awareness among its employees about breast cancer screening.
We had the pleasure of welcoming Patricia, Marie-Renée, and Marina, three committed volunteers from the Comité Féminin de Dépistage des Savoie (Women’s Screening Committee of the Savoie region), who came to discuss this vital topic with us.
During this meeting, a palpation model was made available to teach the correct self-examination gestures and to reiterate the importance of early screening. This awareness campaign also concerns men, as our speakers highlighted: 2% of breast cancers affect men.
Following this meeting, IVALTECH showed its support for the association with a donation made directly to the Institut Lyon Bérard for cancer research.
It was a powerful moment, rich in discussion and personal accounts, which helped raise everyone’s awareness with kindness and solidarity.
